About the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation
The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group.
St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation has been supporting those in need since 1992, making a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities registered in the UK to assist them in the incredible work they do every day. So far, over £81 million has been raised and distributed to thousands of charities.
Who do we support?
The Charitable Foundation’s grant-giving is guided by themes, with the main focus on children and young people who have special needs through illness, disability or mental health problems and also those who are disadvantaged in other ways. It also supports the Hospice Movement and people of all ages with cancer.
The Charitable Foundation has been keen to support small to medium-sized charities that can benefit substantially from relatively small grants. Hundreds of small charities have benefited as a result.
How do we raise funds?
We rely on the St. James’s Place community who support the Charitable Foundation in any way they can. That includes donating from their earnings: currently, over 80% of our Partners and employees regularly donate in this way.
Fundraising events are also an important part of our income. Since 1999, every pound raised by the community has been matched by the company. All the Charitable Foundation’s administration costs are also covered, so everything raised goes straight to the charities we support.
