What is Helping Hand?

Helping Hand is an additional benefit provided by Royal London. The service will give you access to your own personal nurse adviser from independent care advisory service RedArc if you’re ill and need some extra support.

They can discuss symptoms, offer reassurance, and recommend counselling or additional therapies to help speed up your recovery. If you die, your nurse adviser will help your family cope with their grief. They can offer instant access to a bereavement counsellor. The service also offers you and your family access to our medical, career and legal helplines.

Extra Helping Hand support

Royal London has arranged three months’ free access to mental and physical wellbeing apps for their protection customers. These are temporary additions to the Helping Hand service. This access has been added as they feel it’s the right thing to do while people are coping with extraordinary circumstances.

Through Helping Hand, clients can already access a dedicated nurse for tailored and personal support. They can also get career or legal advice, for example around furlough or redundancy.

Thrive: Mental Wellbeing is an NHS approved and clinically effective mental wellbeing app providing relaxation exercises, sleep improvement tools, and resilience-building techniques.

Track-Active Me is a physical wellbeing app providing home-based exercise programmes and physiotherapy advice to prevent and manage injuries and conditions.

These services aren’t part of Royal London’s terms and conditions so can be amended or withdrawn at any time.
